$1,000 REWARD OFFERED FOR

ARREST OF TAKOMA PARK BURGLARY SUSPECT:

BORIS ANTONIO CALDERON-GUARDADO

Please help police apprehend one of the suspects whom police have identified who burglarized and ransacked our Takoma Park home. We are offering a $1,000 reward to anybody who helps police arrest him.

Calderon-Guardado has been arrested at least four times by Prince George's County police since June, 2016. He has been charged with carrying a concealed dangerous weapon, numerous counts of burglary and theft, including vehicle theft, marijuana possession, violation of an ex parte/protective order, possession/use of a fake ID, rogue and vagabond and trespassing.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an immigration detainer against Calderon-Guardado, an unlawfully present El Salvadoran national, on Feb. 14, 2017 with the Prince George's County Detention Center after he was arrested by police. He was released from local custody on Feb. 28, 2017, without notification to ICE, according to Matthew Bourke, an ICE spokesman.

That same day, a grand jury indicted him on multiple counts of burglary and theft. He failed to appear for trial on Aug. 8, 2017. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest on Aug. 10, 2017.

Calderon-Guardado was initially arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol on Oct. 29, 2015, near Laredo, Texas, and it was determined he had illegally entered the United States from Mexico without inspection, Bourke said. Calderon-Guardado was placed in immigration removal proceedings and transferred to ICE custody. On Nov. 18, 2015, Calderon-Guardado posted an immigration bond and was released from ICE custody.

According to Bourke, "Detainers serve as a legally-authorized request, upon which a law enforcement agency may rely, to continue to maintain custody of an alien for up to 48 hours so that ICE may assume custody for removal purposes. Pursuant to ICE policy, all ICE detainers are submitted with an accompanying administrative arrest warrant or warrant of removal depending upon the circumstances of the individual case. ICE places immigration detainers when the agency possesses probable cause to believe an alien is deportable from the United States."

Calderon-Guardado appears in court records with a date of birth of Nov. 25, 1993, and several variations of his name including:

Antonio Boris Guardado
