Narrative On 05/26/2011 Cpl. Mann conducted a traffic stop on a 1995 Ford F-350 bearing Georgia registration in the area of S/B Rt. 113 N/O Public Landing for a speed violation. Tpr. Elgin assisted Cpl. Mann in making contact with the operator of the Ford truck. Tpr. Elgin identified the operator as Jeremiah Robert Smith by his GA driver’s license. While in contact with Smith, Tpr. Elgin observed a rifle lying on the front passenger’s seat. Tpr. Elgin asked if the driver had any other weapons to which he stated that he had a Glock handgun. Tpr. Elgin was able to recover the Glock 17. Cpl. Mann had the driver exit the vehicle where he was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest for additional weapons was conducted. Upon searching the vehicle a total of five rifles and four handguns were recovered. Two of the rifles and three handguns were loaded. The suspect was charged for possession of a concealed deadly weapon and wearing and carrying a concealed weapon. The suspect and the firearms were transported to the Berlin Barrack for processing.
