The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office investigated a tractor trailer fire that occurred on June 8, 2007 at 4:28 AM on the 19000 block of Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

The Rehoboth Beach Fire Department responded to the scene and was assisted by the Lewes Fire Department.

The tractor trailer, owned by Keystone Freight Corporation of North Bergen, New Jersey, was located at the back loading dock / warehouse area delivering goods to the K-Mart. No injuries were reported. Damages have been estimated at $25,000.

State Fire Marshal’s Office Investigators have determined that the fire originated in the interior of the tractor trailer and was caused by an electrical malfunction in the trailer’s wiring.
