EXCHANGE STUDENTS INJURED IN BIKE ACCIDENTS

Exchange students were injured in bicycle accidents Saturday night on Route 1 near Applebee's around 10:45 p.m.; and on Sunday just after 4 p.m. on Fourth Street next to Quillen's Hardware. One accident involved a DART bus, and the other, a pizza delivery car. Injuries in both cases were minor.

COAST GUARD INSPECTS SIGN BOAT

The Coast Guard's 21-foot zodiac inspects the sign boat that runs along the Rehoboth and Dewey shoreline. The Coast Guard was investigating a complaint that the boat was too close to shore. The boat returned to port after guardsmen reported three violations.

Great Lakes replenishment crews continued to pump and bulldoze sand on Rehoboth's beach all weekend.
