DSP News Release: Suspects Sought in Robbery

Location of Incident: 1500 block of Forest Hill Court, Sea Colony West.

Date of Occurrence: Friday, June 26, 2009 at 11:00 pm.

Suspect(s): Suspect # 1- male, dark complexion, possibly Hispanic. Possible name of “Joe” or “John”, short dark hair, black t-shirt and jeans, 15-18 yrs of age.
Suspect # 2- white female, 5’05”,120-130 lbs, blonde hair tied in a bun, purple shorts and a white shirt. No approximate age provided.

Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery, which occurred in Sea Colony West last night and left the victim with a minor injury.

On Friday, June 26, 2009 at approximately 11:00 pm, the 17-year old male victim was riding his bike in Sea Colony West. The victim met the two suspects while riding bikes. A conversation ensued and a discussion of the victim purchasing marijuana from the suspects occurred. A decision was made to return to victim’s house. Once at the house the suspects continued to talk and the male suspect struck the victim in the face. The male suspect grabbed the victim’s wallet, removed approximately $500.00 in cash, and left the wallet behind. The male suspect also took a set of BOSE headphones and then the suspects fled the residence in an unknown direction on their bikes.

The victim received a minor injury to the left eye and was treated and released at Millville Emergency Room.
