Incident Resume:

Early Saturday July 18, 2009 Delaware State Police responded to the Gray Hare Tavern Lewes Delaware for a drunken disorderly male. When Troopers arrived on scene they observed employees of Gray Hare Tavern restraining Kevin A. Soots who was verbally abusive. State Troopers attempted to have Soots comply with their commands however where initially unsuccessful. After a brief struggle with Troopers Soots was taken into custody and transported to Troop 7.

Troopers learned Soots was dropping drinks and fell over a table while inside the bar. Bouncers of the Gray Hare Tavern where attempting to escort Soots from the bar, when he began to let the “explicates fly”. A struggle ensued between Soots and the bouncers which resulted in Soots knocking the 44 year old bouncer to the ground. Eventually Soots was restrained until Troopers could arrive.

While Soots was being transported to Troop 7 he repeatedly made statements referring to “getting the Trooper and his family”.

Soots was arraigned on the above listed charges
