The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office investigated a dwelling fire which occurred on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 1:40 AM in the Piney Glade Mobile Home Park on the 36000 block Larch Lane in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

The Rehoboth Beach Fire Department, assisted by the Lewes Fire Department, responded to the scene. Upon arrival they encountered smoke and fire.

One occupant was alerted by the home’s smoke detectors and was able to escape without injury. Damages have been estimated at approximately $60,000. No injuries were reported.

Delaware State Fire Marshals Investigators have determined the fire originated in the living room and was caused an electrical malfunction in a lighting fixture.
