DR. JILL BICYCLES AND SHOPS IN DOWNTOWN REHOBOTH!

First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, surprised a few alert people on Rehoboth Avenue this past Thursday after she bicycled into downtown Rehoboth Beach alongside a five-vehicle motorcade. She was spotted with Anthony Bernal, her White House senior advisor, outside Quiet Storm where they were joined by Finnegan Biden. Dale Loeser, owner of the Quiet Storm, confirmed that the First Lady was among those who visited the store and added that Biden family members have been regulars at the shop.

The entourage included about 15 to 20 Secret Service agents. How many can you spot in this photo?

Some visitors walked past seemingly oblivious to who was there, while others took photos of the First Lady.

When they cut across Rehoboth Avenue it became more apparent how many agents were involved in her protection. This isn't counting those in the double-parked SUVs.

These are screen-grabs from this video taken by Henry Bright.

THE PRESIDENT RETURNS TO TOWN!

On Friday, the President joined the First Lady at the Biden beach house around 8 p.m. via a motorcade that departed from Dover Air Force Base. According to USAF VIP LOGISTICS, this is the President's 16th visit to his beach house since taking office and the second so far this season.

You know something is happening when a Coast Guard cutter anchors to that "Biden" mooring buoy.

On Saturday afternoon, the tabloid press and Twitter went wild with videos and photos of the President on the beach in North Shores. Reuters, TMZ, New York Post, Times Now and the GOP War Room were among those that posted video or photos. But the Daily Mail probably has one of the most detailed reports of all!

The President later attended 4 p.m. mass at Saint Edmond Roman Catholic Church where he was greeted by bystanders with the ubiquitous cell phone cameras!

For security reasons, it appears, the President is always the last person to arrive for mass and the first to depart!

Also on Saturday, an F-16 fighter jet intercepted an airplane that violated the VIP temporary flight restricted area around 10 a.m. According to this news release, the event concluded without incident. Radio audio and the airplane track have been posted online.

The President departed via Marine One Sunday morning from Gordon's Pond for Dover Air Force Base where he flew to London.

DRIVER OF OVERTURNED WRANGLER ON COASTAL HWY CHARGED WITH DUI

Amazingly nobody was injured when the blue 2022 Jeep Wrangler rolled on its side striking two other vehicles on Coastal Highway this past Thursday in the Midway area near Lewes around 4:45 p.m.

Cpl. Amina Ali, state police spokesperson, says the Wrangler was headed south on Coastal Highway in the left lane while a white 2017 Mazda Miata was going south in the middle lane.

The Wrangler driver made an improper lane change, struck the Miata and rolled on its passenger side and then struck a silver Chevrolet Trax traveling in the right southbound lane of Coastal Highway.

The driver of the Wrangler was cited for DUI (alcohol) and improper lane change, Cpl. Ali said.

ONE-WOMAN ART SHOW OPENS AT CAMP REHOBOTH

The CAMP Rehoboth Gallery is featuring the work of Rehoboth Beach artist Renata Price who will be exhibiting her oil paintings this month with an artist's reception at the gallery on July 22, from 4 to 6 p.m.

"The Beauty Around Us through Color, Shape and Shadow" is Price's first one-woman show. She applies her traditional "Old Masters" style to a variety of subjects.

She trained at the Art League of Alexandria, Virginia and has made good use of many training opportunities online. Art has been a lifelong passion of Renata's, as she was raised in a home adorned with the works of her artistic mother and grandmother.

Price's work is detail oriented, reflecting her background as an engineer. She is fascinated by complex shadows and reflections which are often a central characteristic of her work. Her goal is for her paintings to be hyper-realistic, reflecting scenes as she thinks they would be in a more perfect world.
